Bangka is an island province together with Belitung Island. Bangka lies just east of Sumatra, separated by the Bangka Strait. The island is the 9th largest island in Indonesia and has a lot of beautiful sites to visit. Most of the geographical faces of the island consists of lower plains, swamps, small hills, beautiful beaches, white pepper fields, palm trees and rubber trees also the famous one tin mines.

Going to Bangka in 2019 has been an amazing non planned trip for me. Solo flight from Jakarta.

Bangka Island, 2019.
Kaolin Lake, 2019.

Kaolin Lake
First thing first, if you go here during the day. It’s very, very hot. Kaolin Lake was made from abandoned tambang timah and Pasir Kaolin. Now became like lake. Since the background colour is white. The size is massive. Blue Kaolin Lake water has the color of blue Tosca. The water is clear and the lakeside is pure white. Due to its size, it is a little bit troublesome to find the right spots for sightseeing. Apart from the main lake, there are some small ponds. All of them share the same beauty. The clear sky reflects on the water surface. It is quite mesmerizing.

Red Hill Ampar Lake, 2019.

Red Hill Ampar Lake
Formed from the former mining tin, this is actually not a natural lake. But, the natural red rocks panorama adds to the beauty of this lake. As the name suggests, this location is surrounded by red. Its location is in Riding Panjang area, Bangka regency and it is also known as “The Venus of Bangka Island”.

Penyusuk Beach, 2019.
